Jacintha graduated from the London School of Economics in 2013 as a sociologist. At 22, she co-founded Sustainer Homes, a company that builds radically sustainable circular buildings. She makes sure that new production and manufacturing technologies are used to create circular dreamhomes in an easy, fast, tailored and affordable way. As commercial director, she and her team managed to onboard over 60 clients, realizing over 300 sustainable homes in less than two years time.
By using state-of-the-art production and climate technologies in a revolutionary building system, Sustainer Homes emit less than 10% of the CO2 impact of a regular home was. This way, the company shows that a radically more sustainable way of building is possible today, completely scalable, in the most polluting sector worldwide.
As a commercial director in a sector traditionally focused more on ‘stones’ than on people, Jacintha rather views homes as one of the most fundamental ways to make a positive impact in people’s lives. – both in terms of environmental and social impact. By offering a radically sustainable alternative way of building, she is spearheading an accelerating movement in an industry traditionally set in stone. In the next year, Jacintha is expanding the Dutch market share and making the first entries in Europe.
