Anouk acts as a Thought Leader on cyber security and stands out because of her refreshing, rational and radical views on security. She explores alternative approaches such as cyber diplomacy and digital escalation ladders and leads the debate on shifting the focus of cyberwar towards cyber peace.
By building a network through the WiCS foundation, Anouk hopes to inspire others to create and utilize opportunities. WiCS is not yet another “female membership-only” club, but a powerful network of professionals that each and all voluntarily invest time and energy in making the digital world more secure.
Anouk is a popular keynote speaker on cyber security. She encourages people to think like a hacker when working on addressing security threats. Bridging the gap between policy and technology symbolises her own career path, Anouk has a unique perspective on todays and tomorrow’s on- and offline threats.
Anouk was awarded the LOF Spotlight 2015 Award for the “Next Generation Woman” in female leadership, nominated as one of the “400 most successful women in the Netherlands” by Viva Magazine in 2016 and named one of The Netherlands’ Inspiring Fifty in 2016.
